The Moonridge area is comprised of Lower Moonridge, Upper Moonridge and High Timber Ranch. It backs up to the San Bernardino National Forest and was one of the first areas settled in Big Bear Lake. Today it’s home to the Moonridge Zoo, the Bear Mountain Golf Course, and Bear Mountain Resort. The area is loaded with hiking trails and is a perfect location if you love mountain biking. Aside from activities there are shops and great places for lunch.
Lower Moonridge
The lower section of Moonridge has all of the activities and shopping. This area is perfect if you’re a golfer, snowboarder or skier. Bear Mountain is located at the southern part of Moonridge, across from the Golf Course and the Zoo.
For lunch, choose between the Club House Grill at the ninth hole of the Golf Course or try the Bear Belly Deli, known for their great sandwiches.
Homes in this area are a mix of small and medium size cabins. More about Lower Moonridge
Upper Moonridge
Lower Moonridge has the activities, Upper Moonridge has the views. This area has a more secluded feel, and plenty of trees. Homes vary from cabins to mansions. More about Upper Moonridge
High Timber Ranch
High altitude, views, and trees make High Timber Ranch a beautiful choice for a home. It’s located at the top of Moonridge, with new custom homes. It’s a wonder spot for nature enthusiasts and those looking for the perfect getaway. More about High Timber Ranch
