New Year’s Activities for Big Bear Lake

A beautiful white landscape covers the Big Bear Valley. Our nights are crisp, and the days are sunny with vivid blue skies. This New Year’s weekend looks perfect!

Big Bear Lake has the best snow conditions in the Country. Many of our mountain visitors plan on spending the day on the slopes. Snow Summit will be open for night sessions. Remember, your lift ticket is valid at both Bear Mountain and Snow Summit, and a shuttle is provided.

There are other activities throughout the Valley for New Year’s Weekend. Here are a few suggestions with website links:

Alpine Slide – The Alpine Slide will be open from 10 AM to dusk on New Year’s Eve, and 11 AM to 4 PM on New Years’ (weather permitting). This is a complete entertainment area with a bobsled pipe, inner tubing and race kart driving.

Big Bear Funplex – Enjoy games of laser tag, carnival rides and a variety of video games. This indoor entertainment complex includes a food and seating area. Drop off the children for an hour or spend half the day. It’s fun for all ages.

The Big Bear Lake Discovery Center is open on Saturday, New Year’s Eve, but closed on New Year’s day. Their 40 minute nature walks on Saturday are at 1 PM and 2 PM. These walks are not strenuous and are designed to be entertaining and educational for the whole family.
