Big Bear Home Sales – June 2010 & Second Quarter 2010

The number of homes for sale in Big Bear continued its upward rise in June.  The median sales price jumped around again, something we've seen a lot of the past 6 months, while the average sales price remained nearly the same, and Big Bear homes sales picked back up in June. Big Bear Home Sales – May 2010

The number of homes for sale in Big Bear rose significantly in May, the second straight month we've seen the increase.  Combine that with the 55 homes sold in May, the lowest number we've seen since January 2009, and it is not the type of combination you want if you are looking for an improving real estate market in Big Bear.  One of the bright spots for sellers has been the limited inventory, or competition.  But, that is slowly going dim. Foreclosure filings in Big Bear rose 12% in March 2010 when compared to February.  Year over year however, foreclosure filings were down 3% from the March 2009 numbers, the third month in a row that foreclosure filings were down year over year. Big Bear Home Sales – March 2010 & First Quarter 2010

Home sales in Big Bear jumped in March 2010.  First quarter sales are up while prices are still down. Big Bear Home Sales Home sales in March were up 18% when compared to the February sales (73 v. 62).  Year over year, sales are up 26% from March 2009, encouraging news for the market.
