The annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony in The Village takes place tonight, November 29, at the corner of Pine Knot and Village Drive. The festivities begin at 5 p.m., with Mayor Jay Obernolte arriving at 6 p.m. to start the countdown to Santa’s arrival! Santa and Mrs.Claus will be in the Santa House until 9 p.m..
Come out and kick off your holiday season, and enjoy all the festive decorations in the newly renovated Village!
If you miss tonight’s ceremony (or just want to go to both!), the tree-lighting ceremony in Bear City will be held tomorrow night, November 30, in front of the Big Bear City fire station on the corner of Big Bear Blvd. and Sawmill drive, at 5 p.m. There will be carols sung, and Santa’s making an appearance there, too!
